White Sox sweep! Blog Wide High-Five!
Jermaine Dye, World Series MVP. I like it. Juan Urbie, defensive genius - this is fact.
It hasn't set in yet. Maybe it will this weekend when Koby sprays me in the face with a bottle of champagne. I can't wait.
woo-hoo!

White Sox 2, Stupid-Rainbow-Astros 0.
Also, Scott Podsednik is my hero. Need new heroes? Watch the ChiSox. There's a new one every night.
In other news, there has been more gunfire outside of my house after every playoff victory. I am hoping these rounds are in fun. I am also hoping they were not directed at Astros fans. Well, maybe if we knicked a couple, just to show them we're serious about this...
Kidding, kidding. Shooting is bad. White Sox winning is good.
In (further) other news: I met THE Leroy Brown on Friday. I was alone. It was 2 am. I was in the Kingston Mines and incredibly intoxicated. It was awesome (for me). He was probably annoyed. Lots.

Haughty Melodic
I am torn on this album. This is my first full listen through the entire album, but I'm not sure if its any good. Mike Daughty's solo work was awesome and Soul Coughing was great, so I may be holding this album to too high of a standard, but some of these songs just piss me off. And I'm fairly certain I'd be very happy with them if I hadn't heard them when it was just Mr. Doughty and his acoustic guitar rocking out. But, I have heard how good they can be. And these songs? Ouch.
Especially "Sunken Eyed Girl". This song on the live recording was amazing. The pacing made you feel for the poor girl and her coffee. And made you pine for her, even. This version is too fast. There is no time for the words to sink in and really get you thinking of that girl. Which I think is a major failure. Doughty had it, he had an incredible song, and he totally bonered it.
In other news, I listened to DangerDoom: The Mouse and the Mask a ton the past two days. Its an album by Danger Mouse and MF Doom. Its loosely based on the Adult Swim series of shows. Its fucking specatacular. Click here for an actual review.
I got a room in virginia. It is quite comfortable. It is also very quiet. I dig.
And, no, I did not get tickets to the world series. I am also having serious doubts about paying 1000 for two. That seems to be a bit much for upper deck tickets. But who knows? I may get drunk tonight and wake up with a receipt for tickets and a rather full credit card.

I was on time for work TWICE this week. Not something I'm proud of, but I have worked out every day so far. At least something is good.
I have my doubts if I will ever make the 6 am flight out of O'Hare. Do you have any idea how early 6 am is? You gotta get to sleep at like 7 pm on SATURDAY to wake up in time to catch that shit for a MONDAY morning. Because, seriously? Waking up HOURS before the day star is NOT GOOD FUCKING TIMES.
'Course, I like getting to work at noon, even if my boss doesn't like it when I do. Oh well.
Going to look at yet another craigslist found room tonight. Hopefully its nice enough because I don't have a hotel room booked for next week yet. The next hope is that I have it for more then a week like Tucson. Of course, if it isn't awesome, I'm certain I'll be there forever. FOR-EV-ER!
ChiSox pulled one out last night by the laces of a catchers mitt. I still say that's the right call. Screw you Angel hippies. Screw you AND your crying.
EDIT: New commenting system. All old comments were lost. Sorry 'bout that. I didn't feel like screwing around with a bunch of code I don't have time to write to repopulate all the old comments. However, you are welcome to go through the archives and re-comment on the old posts. I promise to respond if you do.
I have never had a self-esteem problem/
I just self-hate a lot.

Many things have happened lately. I am in Tucson now! I will soon be in Dulles!
Ker-sploink!
I made some girl cry last Thursday. It was an accident. I was standing around in some bar in Tucson and this fairly attractive girl came up and started talking to me. I was, in fact, quite hammered. We chatted for about 10 minutes, then she walked away. She said she had to go to the bathroom. This seems like a reasonable way to excuse yourself from a given conversation. I told her I would be right where I was and she could come back and we would talk more. Or something to that affect. I was possibly slurring at the time.
A few minutes later, a girl who was in my group came back and scolded me because she had seen this girl in the bathroom FLIPPING THE FUCK OUT about her hair, her clothes and how she looked in general. Why you ask? Because I did not ask for her phone number. So now I am, apparently, obligated to ask all girls for their phone numbers. I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU PEOPLE WITH BOOBS. Because, if you will recall, the last phone number I got was fake.
Oh well, I never liked talking to girls anyway.
And I totally didn't do something similar on Saturday. Nope, not this guy. I'm not some flirting and running away dude. Not me.
The ChiSox are currently leading 14-2 in the top of the ninth over the RedSox. I feel confident in saying they are going to find a way to win this one. I am FUCKING ELATED.
Some days, its good to be a code monkey. Hello streaming updates.
PS: I totally can't fly anyone out to Tucson. I don't live here anymore.
