Boss scheming...
...and flinging me across the country.
I suppose the subtitle should be NOT flinging me across the country.
That's right folks. I can see the future. So long as its terrible, I can totally call it. My Arizona tenure is over this week. It isn't official yet, but I've been told that as soon as a certain dude starts showing up in the office again, he can sign some stuff and I'm gone.
Now, why is this terrible? The weather. Yes, its getting to the most gorgeous part of the year here and Chicago is rapidly devolving into an ice covered, wind blown, frozen stink pond that causes me to fall down on my bottom. Of course, my bottom has gotten rather squishy of late, so I suppose falling won't hurt so much.
At least there has been one good thing through my Arizona experience: I got fat(er).

Low Key Scheming...
...and other morsels of tiviality.
Friday's Scheming:
Do nothing at all. Not even go hang on Western with some neighborhood types.
This was rather unsuccesful as I ended up at Rhino Bar. I went alone but met a bunch of people randomly as was the hope. It was good times.
I also was on a plane for a bit. It was a roller coaster. I saw a bunch of people who weren't buckled in almost bonk their heads on the ceiling as we dropped a couple of hundred feet in an air pocket. It was good times.
Saturday's Scheming:
Football, hang with St. Louis Erica.
Oh what a wild success. I was, somewhat succesfully, watching three seperate college football games at once. It was oddly disjointed. But I found that not listening to any of the announcers for more then a minute allowed me to not rage at any of them. It was incredibly pleasant.
At night I met up with St. Louis Erica, her boyfriend and others. They get mention because it was their night to rock the Beverly. Good times were had at Corrigan's. Then more good times were had at Cork and Kerry. Then even more, if somewhat tired, good times were had at Rhino. What can I say, we were a group of people determined to have fun. It ruled.
Saturday's unintentional scheming:
Continued work with Daniel on a flash thing, or a hand drawn thing or SOME-thing. We are considering putting out a set of Public Service Announcements from the Duke of No Pants. We may have been exceedingly intoxicated when we came up with this idea. I feel this makes said idea more, "legit." I am, however, not sure how.
Sunday's scheming:
Football, wild depression and Anime.
Again, I won! I watched the Bears play a TERRIBLE Buccaneers team. The Bears got destroyed. It was two awful, awful teams attempting to play and failing pretty badly. The Bucs didn't win because they played better, or tried harder or any of those cliches. The Bears lost because they wanted it more.
Got some good Anime watching in with the Daniel. There will be much of that this week as I take a week off of working from home. It is going to rule so hard.

The Get Backers is a new comic book I picked up yesterday. The protagonists are a cross between robin hood, broke college kids and classic buddy comic types. Its a good read, I heartily reccomend you give it a shot if you're into reading with pictures and stuff.
Oh, and they're both mutants. Good times for all.
I watched the Red Sox win last night. There is a surprings amount of Red Sox faithful in Tucson, AZ. That or an unsurprising amount of people who hate the Yankees. Either way, watching the Red Sox roll the Yanks is good times. Especially for the historic game 7. Just great ball.
In other sporting news, the Bears are done for the season. The coaches insist on sticking with Jon "I suck" Quinn. Even though, you know, he sucks. So I'm looking forward to the Bulls. Yes, the Bulls. Mainly, I'm looking forward to Eddy Curry being traded, but that's just cause he's terrible. I'd rather have BLOUNT play center. Blech. But the Bulls will have the best young back court in the league with future all star Kirk Hinrich running the show at point, South American Noccioni playing the 2 and Ben Gordon the backup guard. And then some guy named Duhon who I haven't forgiven for playing for Duke yet. Maybe some other time Chris!
I've got a pretty awesome hangover going on from too much work, too much tasty, tasty Stella Artois last night and not enough sleep. But I perservere to make sure all four of you(yes, we got another reader!) are bored senseless.
That's it for today, but still, I live!
Even though I spent more time this weekend drunk and getting scars then I did sober and NOT getting scars. Oh wait, I didn't tell you about this weekend did I? ha-ha! I hold all the secrets now, Trebek.

Since my last post...
Weekend of Rock in LA:
-Hope of the States(live music)
-picked up 12 cds
-Air, Stereolab and some other dude with symphonic backing(live). BRILLIANT!
Weeknd of Family in Phoenix:
-Diamondbacks game, they lost
-Uncle's birthday party, I finally got to meet my cousin's kids. She has three. Oldest is five. Yes, I'm a terrible second cousin, once removed. Or maybe I'm a terrible uncle once negated? Shit, I hate that stuff.
-Drove a terrible car. Screw you and your Mitsubishi.
Weekend of Back in Fucking Chicago
-Boozy, boozy with the sister. Good times.
-Saw 'I heart Huckabees'. Very entertaining. Its a movie about an Existential Detective Agency. Very rad.
-Watched Anime with Daniel.
You'll notice I only mentioned the weekends, because during the week I'm always working. I pulled a fucking ALL-GODDAMNED-NIGHTER. That kind of shit is for stooges and fools. Apparently, I am one or both of those. This job is awesome, every time it looks like I am going to get some time to breathe and get shit back together, I get ANOTHER FUCKING PROJECT. Just, 'Hey, Pat isn't trying to LIGHT HIMSELF ON FIRE today. Looks like he needs another project that is FUCKED from the word GO.'
So. Much. Anger.
On the upside, work isn't getting to me as much as it was over the summer. I haven't had my brain, without consulting me first, grab the dry erase marker and start huffing maniacally lately. No, true story. I was writing on my board and I got a wiff of the marker. I lost control and just started huffing. Not a pretty site.
Also, super weak, didn't feel anything. SUPER weak.
And now to go hide from people while I'm supposed to be doing work. What can I say? I'm starting to get a hang of this job.
